NOCTURNE
Alan's painting, "Nocturne", appeared on the cover of the program for Bradley Ellingboe's premier performance of "Requiem", performed by the University Chorus and the Chamber Orchestra of Albuquerque on April 16, 2002. A moved and tearful audience responded with a standing ovation. Alan was pleased to have participated as a choir member and proud to have had Bradley Ellingboe commission his work for the program.

ARTIST-IN-RESIDENCE
Alan Paine Radebaugh is spending the month of May as an artist-in-residence at Gushul Studio in Alberta, Canada. This is his second residency at Gushul, a residency sponsored by the University of Lethbridge in a studio tucked into the snow-covered Canadian Rocky Mountains.

EXHIBITION of ALBERTA FRAGMENTS
Selections from the "Alberta Fragments", a series of paintings-on-paper that Alan completed during his first residency at Gushul Studio in June of 2001, will be exhibited June 5-29 at Coleman Gallery Contemporary Art in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

From the Canadian Rocky Mountains, Alan gathered the images as well as pigments for these paintings, collecting rocks and other organic matter that he mixed with medium to create these "portraits" of Alberta. Preview a few of these pieces by clicking here.

TWO EXHIBITIONS of FRAGMENTS
In Santa Fe, New Mexico, James Reid Ltd. is currently exhibiting an overview of Radebaugh's "Fragments" from 1999-2001. The exhibition hangs through the summer and includes drawings and paintings on aluminum, canvas, and paper. Gallery hours: Monday-Saturday, 9:30-6:00 pm; and Sunday 10:00-5:00 pm.
